The Abu Dhabi Police announced via a tweet on their official account on the social media platform "X" (formerly known as Twitter) that a 35% discount will be applied to violations if they are paid within 60 days from the date of occurrence, excluding serious violations. After 60 days, a 25% discount will be given for late payments. The "Take Action and Benefit" initiative allows for a period of one day to one year from the date of issuing the violation to take action.
Abu Dhabi Police have urged the public, particularly drivers and road users, to understand the significance of maintaining the clean and orderly appearance of Abu Dhabi. They have specifically requested people to refrain from littering while driving, as this is a violation of Article 71 of the Traffic Law. Offenders will be fined 1,000 dirhams and receive 6 traffic points. Regarding the drivers responsible for this infraction.
Abu Dhabi Police have urged the public and vehicle drivers to refrain from violating traffic laws and disobeying instructions from police officers. They also advised against organizing impromptu marches that disrupt traffic and participating in attention-seeking behaviors like exiting the vehicle on public roads or abandoning vehicles on the street. The road should be used for continuous driving with the engine running, without any unnecessary stops in the middle of the road, and without littering the public road with waste. I received a caution regarding the potential risks associated with totally obscuring the front or rear license plate numbers.
The public was made aware of the hazards associated with exceeding the recommended passenger capacity, leaving through windows and sunroofs, and placing people in unauthorized areas like the vehicle's trunk.
