It was recently reported that Abu Dhabi will be the location of a brand-new plant that will be the first of its kind to collect recyclable materials from municipal solid garbage.
One of the primary goals is to collect waste from the municipality and recover recyclable resources, which may include metals, plastics, and other materials. By recycling and preparing feedstock for the Abu Dhabi garbage-to-energy project, it will ensure that the maximum amount of garbage is diverted away from landfills during this process.
This will make it possible to increase recycling, which would in turn promote a circular economy and help the group's goal of diverting eighty percent of Abu Dhabi's garbage away from landfills by the year 2030.
