This morning, the National Center of Meteorology in the United Arab Emirates issued an orange alert regarding the weather conditions in the UAE. The center warned of rain in some eastern regions, in addition to the presence of dusty conditions despite the summer heat.
Orange alert for rain in the UAE
The National Meteorology Center announced an orange alert regarding weather conditions and rainfall, starting at 4:00 pm today until 7:00 pm.
The National Center of Meteorology in the UAE also revealed the formation of convective clouds that will cause rain, adding that the winds will be active at times, with wind speeds reaching 40 kilometers per hour and loaded with dust and sand.
Hail falls in some areas in the UAE
It is worth noting that some areas in the United Arab Emirates witnessed some hail, despite high temperatures that exceeded 50 degrees Celsius this week.
Many residents posted video clips on social media showing heavy hailstones falling in the eastern region.
Fog warning
For its part, the UAE Meteorological Authority issued a red and yellow alert this morning for dense fog, which greatly affects horizontal visibility.
The authority indicated in its statement today regarding the weather condition in the UAE that the level of horizontal visibility decreased in the interior areas from 6:00 am until 8:30 am.
Low temperature in the UAE
In its statement published this morning, the authority confirmed that the expected temperatures in the country will reach 47 degrees Celsius, compared to temperatures in recent weeks, which exceeded 50 degrees Celsius.
The weather condition in the UAE today is also expected to be humid at night, and according to the Centre’s forecasts, fog is likely to form in some coastal areas of the United Arab Emirates.
