Discounts on traffic violations in the UAE

Abu Dhabi Police explained in a statement that the new initiative, “Badir and Benefit,” offers discounts on traffic violations in the Emirates if they are paid within 60 days from the date of their commission.

However, the Emirati Police confirmed in its statement that serious violations are excluded from this initiative regarding traffic violations in the Emirates.

The police in Abu Dhabi also offer discounts on traffic violations of up to 25% if the traffic violation is paid between 60 days and one year from the date of issuing the violation.

Payment of fines in installments through banks

The UAE Police also offers the possibility of paying violations in installments through banks without interest, and the period for paying these violations through banks is a maximum of 12 months.

However, in order to pay traffic violations in installments, banks require that the credit card of the person with the violation be issued by banks contracting with the Abu Dhabi Police General Command in the United Arab Emirates.

Motivating drivers in the UAE to pay traffic violations

Through this new initiative, the UAE Police aims to encourage drivers in the UAE to pay traffic violations, and pay them in installments over the course of a year.

In addition to the Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to enhance public awareness of the advantages of early payment of traffic violations in the Emirates, the Abu Dhabi Police also offers many privileges and facilities, including avoiding an increase in the value of traffic fines, and avoiding the accumulation of traffic violations on drivers in the UAE.

Canceling the decision to reduce 50% of the value of traffic violations

It is worth noting that the Abu Dhabi Police General Command had previously announced the cancellation of the decision to reduce the collection of traffic violations by 50%, which had been in effect during the past 6 years.

The police forces in Abu Dhabi explained that the decision to cancel the reduction in the collection of traffic violations is scheduled to be applied to the new violations that will be recorded and committed by drivers from this date.

The police in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the UAE added that the procedure does not apply to previous violations and they will be charged the value of the previous reduction.
