It was stated by the authorities in the United Arab Emirates that the occupants of a residential tower in Sharjah would be evacuated.
Sharjah: Following a residential building fire, residents were evacuated.
The fire was brought under control by a number of personnel, including those from the police, ambulance, and civil defense authorities.
On the afternoon of Sunday, a residential tower on Jamal Abdul Nasir Street in Sharjah was the location of a fire that suddenly broke out. In a short amount of time, the entire building was evacuated while a number of firefighting, ambulance, and police personnel came to put out the fire.
After the fire broke out at one o'clock in the afternoon local time, the inhabitants who had been evacuated waited anxiously and observed the safety of surrounding buildings while the authorities worked to bring it under control.
According to the inhabitants of the building, the fire started on the eleventh floor of the thirteen-story structure.
"There was a significant amount of noise in the building when the alarm bells began to ring," the speaker said. There was a loud knock on the door of our apartment. When I emerged from the building, a woman yelled out, urging us to "run." "It was not until that point that we became aware that a fire had broken out in our building," said AN, a resident of the building who did not desire to reveal his identity.
The next thing that AN said was, "Smoke was rapidly spreading and engulfing the apartments, which caused people to panic." A few of the residents who were taking showers emerged from the water rushing into their towels. The only thing I could do was grab my mobile phone and dash out of the room. It appeared as though everyone was racing out of their homes and leaving their doors open.
"When my family informed me about the fire, I was at work," said MZ, another tenant of the apartment complex. I ran up to them, and thank God, they were already out of the building and had safely escaped.
