A number of employees in the UAE are eligible for an additional thirty days of paid leave.

Professors in the United Arab Emirates have been granted an additional thirty days of paid leave as part of a new initiative. Here is how the program operates.

Together with yearly leave, academic members have the opportunity to participate in a sabbatical program.

Notably, he is a part of a new program that is being provided by the HCT. This program gives its faculty members the opportunity to spend a sabbatical period of approximately one month in a workplace setting. During this time, they are able to gain insights into the most recent experiences, applications, and practical methodologies that are relevant to their field.

Staff members in the UAE are eligible for annual leave.

They are able to take advantage of the sabbatical program in addition to their annual leave, which is designed to help faculty members improve their skills.

The President and Chief Executive Officer of HCT, Dr. Faisal Alayyan, stated that the purpose of this initiative is to provide individuals with the opportunity to enter the private sector, which will provide our professors with industry experience. The private sector, the labor market, and the faculty will all benefit from this, as it will help bridge the gap between them. Therefore, the faculty members have the option of spending anywhere from two weeks to up to one month inside any business that will contribute to the overall value of the program. Our instructors will be able to keep up with the changes in the industry, gain experience, and learn new tools if they receive this training. By extension, this will be beneficial to our pupils as well.

For the purpose of enhancing the professional development of academic staff members and ensuring that they remain regularly informed of the needs of the labor market, the HCT Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Luc Verburgh, reaffirmed that the HCT has established its Outbound Industry Sabbatical Leave project.

gaining an understanding of the experiences of the industryDuring this time period, the teaching staff has the opportunity to acquire further knowledge regarding the most recent experiences, applications, and practical approaches that are pertinent to their subject.

"Because of this opportunity, faculty members are able to participate in hands-on experimentation with cutting-edge technology and market experiences. "They can then use these insights to improve their teaching methodologies and impart practical knowledge to their students, which will ultimately foster the development of skills that are applicable in the real world," Dr. Verburgh stated.

Between 1990 and 2020, the Higher College of Technology (HCT) produced more than 92,000 graduates, both male and female. This college has been successful in recruiting more than one hundred and ten academic leaders from renowned international universities that are experts in practical education.

He continued by saying, "Once you have the knowledge and have gotten to know each other outside of the workplace, it will help in better employment practices." For instance, I was informed this morning that we are now permitted to use the laboratory facilities of a particular company. This information was also sent to me. Not only will this service be made available to the teaching staff, but it will also be made available to our students. There are many benefits associated with participating in a sabbatical program. This is a result of the sabbatical program that was implemented. When educational institutions and businesses begin to collaborate, these are the results that are achieved.
