The UAE sets 4,000 dirhams per month for residents to issue a family residency visa

Ahmed Moawad - | UAE

The UAE government has set out updated conditions for issuing a residence visa for individuals residing with their families to live and reside with them in the UAE.

The type of profession is not considered a prerequisite

At the same time, she added that the type of profession is not considered a prerequisite for expatriates and residents of the UAE to be able to obtain family residence visas.

Minimum salary

The digital government in the UAE has clarified that the resident head of the family is required to fulfill a number of specific conditions, the most prominent of which is that they must have valid residency permits to work within the UAE, in addition to the salary, as it is required that a minimum salary of 4,000 dirhams per month or a salary of 3,000 UAE dirhams and housing.

The UAE government has also specified that all family members over the age of 18 must undergo a medical fitness examination, which requires that the medical fitness examination be conducted in one of the approved health centers in the country.

A mother’s sponsorship for her children in certain cases

Additionally, the United Arab Emirates Digital Government made it clear that a mother is able to sponsor her children in certain circumstances that are determined by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security. Additionally, a resident is able to sponsor his parents, provided that a residence visa is granted annually, regardless of the length of time the sponsor would be staying in the country.

It was brought to her attention that a resident who seeks to change the status of his family's sponsorship from that of a temporary entrance permit to that of a residence visa is required to finish the processes for status adjustment within a maximum of sixty days from the time that they entered the country.

Residency is not issued to persons who are medically unfit

In addition, she cautioned that a residence permit will not be issued to individuals who are not in good health. She also mentioned that in terms of testing for pulmonary tuberculosis, if it is discovered during the process of renewing residency that the individual has a history of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) that is either dormant or inactive, then the individual is regarded as being in good health.

Under the condition that he is monitored by the Department of Preventive Medicine, the individual is provided with a health fitness certificate for residence. This certificate includes the phrase "undergoing treatment," and it is then granted to the individual. The individual is then granted a residence visa for a period of only one year, with the recommendation that the aforementioned tests be carried out in the country of the individual who wishes to come to reside and prior to coming to the country.

Government centers for physical fitness examination

According to her, there are a number of government institutions that offer physical fitness examinations. These centers include residency medical examination and examination centers in Abu Dhabi, health fitness examination centers in Dubai, and Emirates Health Services Corporation, which offers medical examinations for residence visas.

It was brought to her attention that there are a variety of electronic channels via which an application may be made in order to get either a residency permit or an admission permit.

The Smart Residency and Citizenship Channels (E-channels), the website of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai, the application of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security on the Google Store or Apple Store, and the Dubai Now application on the Google Store or Apple Store are all examples of channels that fall under this category.
