Moreover, the penalty consists of 24 black points and the forfeiture of the car for a period of thirty days.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) released a statement on Tuesday, revealing that police in Dubai have recently detained over 220 private automobiles used for illegal passenger transportation.
Inspections carried out by the Road Traffic Authority (RTA) and the General Department of Airport Security in the vicinity of Terminals 1, 2, and 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB) resulted in the impounding of a total of ninety automobiles.
Additionally, we conducted actions that resulted in the confiscation of 86 unlawful vehicles in the areas of Hatta and Jebel Ali and the impoundment of 49 automobiles in the surrounding area. "In coordination with the Dubai Police General HQ, we conducted inspections of unlicensed passenger transport in several parts of the emirate, particularly in areas that are known for such illegal activities," said Saeed Al Balooshi, director of Passenger Transport Activities Monitoring at the Public Transport Agency of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
We issued violations for both the transportation of passengers in unlicensed vehicles and the promotion of these services.
Executive Council Resolution No. (20) of 2021, amending Executive Council Resolution No. (6) of 2016, regulates passenger transport by cars in Dubai, imposing a punishment of up to Dh30,000 on individuals and a fine of up to Dh50,000 on companies for the same offense.
