Sharjah issues an urgent decision regarding news of changing the Azan Call to prayer

Ahmed Moawad - | UAE

The Sharjah Government Media Office made an appeal to all persons, encouraging them to maintain accuracy and credibility while spreading publications, to verify their official sources, and to avoid being led astray by rumors. The office stressed that the idea that is being spread about the inclusion of the term "changing the call to prayer" in Sharjah is not factual and is not in conformity with the Islamic principles of the emirate. Sharjah is a city in the United Arab Emirates.

Sharjah, the Emirate of Sharjah, is exceedingly keen to adhere to religious beliefs, which are of the utmost importance and are not allowed to be violated under any circumstances. Additionally, the Emirate places a significant amount of importance on the value of respect, peaceful cohabitation, and tolerance towards various religions and sects that are present in society.

In addition, he underlined that the information that is being disseminated about the prospect of adjusting the call to prayer in Sharjah is not true and is not in accordance with the religious values that are respected in the emirate. He pointed out that this information is being propagated through the media.

In his message, he underlined the need of respect, peaceful cohabitation, and tolerance for various religions and sects in society. He also emphasized the importance of respecting individual rights. In addition to this, he highlighted the unequivocal readiness of the Emirate of Sharjah to adhere to religious constants, which are of the utmost importance and are not allowed to be violated under any circumstances.
Religious constants, which are of the utmost importance and must never be violated, underline the need of respect, peaceful coexistence, and tolerance for all religions and sects that are present in society. In order for society to operate properly, these ideals are absolutely necessary.

At the conclusion of its statement, the Emirates of Sharjah unambiguously reiterated its desire to adhere to Islamic precepts, which are considered as the greatest priorities and should not be broken in any form. In addition to this, they highlighted the need of recognizing and peacefully living with those who adhere to a diversity of religions and sects within the community.

Dawal posted the information on social media, which claimed that "The Ruler of Sharjah in the Emirates, Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, issues an order adding, 'I bear witness that Ali is the guardian of God' to the call to prayer, and strictly prohibits the entry of any Israeli to Sharjah." The tweet that Dawal sent out was a reaction to the news.

The report that is circulating is not accurate because the Ruler of Sharjah, Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, has not recently made a decision regarding whether or not to include the words "Ali is the guardian of God" in the call to prayer or whether or not to bar any Israeli from entering it, as was stated. This is the reason why the report is not true. Furthermore, news websites have not highlighted recent events that are analogous to this one.

Additionally, it is clear that there are mosques in Sharjah that do not contain the phrase "Ali is the guardian of God" in the call to prayer. This is something that is visible. The video footage of the services that took place in Sharjah makes this point quite clear.

Despite the fact that the video clip that was attached to the news showed the call to prayer of a mosque and mentioned the phrase "Ali is the guardian of God," the mosque that was shown in the clip is actually the Martyrs' Mosque, which is located in the Emirate of Sharjah and is affiliated with the Jaafari Endowments Authority in the emirate.
