A groundbreaking initiative led by Khalifa Economic Zones AD (KEZAD Group), Abu Dhabi Airports Free Zone (ADAFZ), Masdar City Free Zone, and the Creative Media Authority (CMA) aims to enhance Abu Dhabi's appeal as a business-friendly destination for investors and entrepreneurs. This initiative streamlines the process of setting up businesses in Abu Dhabi, unifying procedures for registering economic licenses across the Emirate and its free zones. The goal is to simplify business setup, strengthen governance, and promote transparency.
Procedures and Enhanced Governance
The unified economic license guarantees that firm data stays current inside a recently merged register and assigns a common reference number for all licenses. This simplifies data administration and helps free zone and mainland government cooperation. Reflecting Abu Dhabi's dedication to always improving the business ecosystem and confirming its global business hub, the digital setup procedure will be speedier and more fluid.
Officials from the agencies in charge of registering economic licenses have assembled a task force to supervise the changeover. The AD Free Zones Council and ADDED Chairman, Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, highlighted the importance of free zones in luring FDIs into strategic industries and diversifying the economy. The Emirate of Abu Dhabi is empowering investors, entrepreneurs, and outstanding talents to capitalize on its dynamic economy by unifying the licensing procedure, which demonstrates its commitment to aligning its business ecosystem with global norms.
Capt. Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, AD Ports Group's Managing Director and Group CEO, stressed the need for an organized and productive workplace. Abu Dhabi's worldwide competitiveness will be greatly improved by the unified licensing system, which will make it easier to establish businesses. Meeting the demands of investors and keeping the Emirate a desirable location for business and investment requires close cooperation with key stakeholders and strategic partners.
Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports Free Zone, emphasized the importance of facilitating seamless business operations. The initiative to unify licensing for economic establishments will streamline and enhance Abu Dhabi's business landscape, aligning with the Emirate's ambition to foster sustainable economic growth.
