Dubai sends an important and urgent message to all residents of the emirate

Ahmed Moawad - | UAE

In light of the recent sad events that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been seeing as well as the heavy rains, the Emirate of Dubai has delivered an urgent message to all inhabitants of Al-Ghamara through its account on the social networking site.

Dubai Municipality continues its intensive efforts

The municipality said through its message on the “X” social media platform, “We thank you for your cooperation and understanding in light of the weather fluctuations that the country is witnessing, and we confirm that Dubai Municipality is continuing its intensive efforts to provide everything that will ensure your comfort to overcome these circumstances.”

The UAE explained in its statement that residents were asked to send a message, “Do not hesitate to contact us to report the locations of water accumulations.”

Massive rainfall

It is noteworthy that the UAE was subjected to massive rainfall, which led to the closure of streets, the breakdown of vehicles, the cessation of flights, and the transfer of studies and government work to a remote electronic system. Several planes appeared at Dubai Airport flying amidst water that had accumulated in large quantities.

An unprecedented event in the climate history of the UAE

In an official statement, the National Center of Meteorology noted that the record quantities of rain that fell on the country on Tuesday are an unprecedented event in the climatic history of the United Arab Emirates, since the commencement of recording climate data, and it is the heaviest rainfall in the last seventy-five years.

As a result of the extraordinary weather conditions that the United Arab Emirates is experiencing, Dubai Airports made the decision on Wednesday that travelers should not go to the airport unless it is absolutely necessary to do so.

In a post on the "X" platform, Dubai Airports stated that, as a result of the weather conditions, we are currently experiencing some delays in arriving and departing flights. As a consequence, nine departing flights and eight arriving flights were canceled this morning, and three flights were diverted to other airports. Additionally, the airport urged passengers to check the status of their flights with the airlines.

Crises reveal the strength of countries and societies

"We thank God for His blessing and grace for the safety of everyone in the Emirates as a result of the exceptional weather condition that we experienced," Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, said through his account on the "X" platform to express his gratitude to God. The health and safety of our nation are both satisfactory. Keep in touch." Additionally, the zeal and leadership of my brother, the President of the State, may God protect him, as well as the efforts of the sincere teams of citizens and residents that continue throughout the day and night.

The Ruler of Dubai made the following statement: "Crises expose the strength of countries and communities... and the natural climatic catastrophe that we suffered shown keenness, awareness, solidarity, and a profound affection for every part of the country from all of its people and residents... I pray that God would keep the United Arab Emirates and its society safe and secure, and that he will also protect them.
