Under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of Dubai, the cabinet of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has granted its assent to the official holiday calendar for the year 2024. Both the public and commercial sectors will be implementing this calendar in their respective operations.

When holidays are aligned, the goal is to offer help to the national economy by establishing an environment that is both stable and beneficial for economic events and activities. This is accomplished by aligning holidays.

Important dates for the year 2024 include the celebration of the New Year on January 1, the Eid Al Fitr holiday from 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal 1445 AH, Arafa Day on 9 Dhu Al-Hijjah 1445 AH, Eid Al Adha from 10 to 12 Dhu Al-Hijjah 1445 AH, and the Islamic New Year on 1 Muharram 1446 AH. All of these events are part of the Islamic calendar.

Additional dates that are significant include the celebration of the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) on the 12th of Rabi' Al Awwal 1446 AH, as well as the celebration of the United Arab Emirates National Day on December 2-3, 2024. Both of these dates are significant in their own right.

It is possible for people and businesses to anticipate a year that is both planned and marked by celebration as a consequence of the development of these legal holidays.
