The Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Lieutenant-General Mohammed Ahmed Al-Marri, said that the number of passengers through Dubai Airport is constantly increasing, reaching 100,000 passengers yesterday at entry and exit, while expectations indicate that their numbers will continue to increase in the coming months.
Al-Marri confirmed that the administration has established an advanced database that monitors and tracks forged passports. It also provided the necessary training programs and techniques to enable its employees to detect it. He said, in a panel discussion entitled "Expo and the Government of the Future", within the activities of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, that "the administration succeeded in dazzling the world with its high flexibility, initiatives and innovations that it has presented in recent years, and contributed mainly to its placement on the throne of excellence, in the category of institutional awards. The Dubai Government Excellence Program, thanks to its highly trained and efficient teams, noted the efforts made by more than 1,800 employees working in it.
He stated that the administration was keen to be present at the World Exhibition, through an office that provides its services, especially to those who are eligible for golden residency, as it provides them with all the necessary information and services to complete their transactions. Al-Marri said that the people of the Emirates, citizens and residents of its land, do not aspire to live in the future, because they are currently living in the future.
