The American Embassy in the UAE issues a new decision and expedites the visa process for those wishing to travel to the United States of America.
Due to high demand, the US Embassy in the UAE will speed up visa bookings.
Many people who wanted to apply for a non-immigrant visa couldn't be interviewed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This caused a backlog.
For US visa dates, you have to wait a year. A diplomat said that the mission in the UAE is trying to speed up the process.
To give more details about the delay, Packowitz said that the pandemic made it hard to meet many people who wanted a non-immigrant visa, which caused a backlog. "By law, we have to talk to people who want to get a visa." We couldn't bring them into our consular area for interviews because of the pandemic and some of the rules that the local governments put in place. Packowitz said, "Many of them still want to go to the US."
"There are more requests for non-immigrant visas now than there were before the pandemic." "Now that the pandemic is over, people from all over the world are very interested in travelling," Packowitz said.

Ron Packowitz, who is in charge of consular affairs for the country, says, "We are working to expand and improve to increase our capacity and speed up appointments."
"There is a lot of interest in travelling to the US after the pandemic, and not just from the UAE," Packowitz said.
In a previous interview with UAE travel industry experts, Khaleej Times stated that UAE residents want to travel to the US more than ever before, and the earliest date that works for them is October 18, 2024. It won't happen in Abu Dhabi until November 2024.
The consular coordinator also said that the embassy is trying to reduce the backlog of visa appointments for some applicants and make them available more quickly.

Packowitz said, "We give priority to visa interviews for some travellers, like students, people with medical emergencies, people who need to travel for business right away, and people whose visas have expired."
We do everything we can to make sure that students who are coming to the US get here on time for the first day of class. "Businesspeople who need to travel quickly to the US to sign an important deal have also been given special attention, as have people who need to travel quickly for medical reasons," said Packowitz.

Packowitz said that residents whose visas have mostly ended in the last four years don't have to go to the consulate because they can get them through Emirates post.
Packowitz said that people can get appointments for US visas in any country and can apply from anywhere they want.
"Residents can choose to go to the interview in any GCC country or the place of their choice, as long as the appointments are available," Packowitz said.
The embassy adds more meetings every day to make things easier and speed up the interview process for people who live in the UAE.
"Every day we check to see if we can add more appointments, and we do that on a regular basis," Packowitz said, adding that people can check the official website on a regular basis to find meetings months before they happen.
Packowitz told the people that they should start making plans for their trip to the US at least a year in advance. "I tell travellers to make plans for their trip a long time in advance. According to Packowitz, people who want to travel should start the application process as soon as they decide they want to go. They need to plan further than a year ahead of time.
