Urgent.. UAE introduces New traffic lane on key road in Sharjah
The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority has taken a proactive step to alleviate traffic congestion by introducing a new traffic lane on a significant road within the city.
New Lane Addition
Through its official Instagram channel, the authority announced the successful implementation of the project. The new lane, spanning a length of 1km and measuring 3.65 meters wide, has been established on Al Taawun Street. This additional lane aims to amplify the road's capacity, resulting in a total of four operational traffic lanes.
The project extends beyond just lane creation. It encompasses essential modifications to entry and exit points, as well as the incorporation of a safety buffer within existing parking zones. These enhancements are designed to optimize traffic flow and bolster road safety measures.
Enhanced Traffic Management
With the overarching goal of promoting efficient traffic movement, the project is expected to have a significant impact on reducing accidents and congestion during peak hours. By expanding the road's capacity and refining its layout, the authority aims to create a safer and more seamless experience for motorists.
The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority's commitment to improving urban mobility underscores its dedication to ensuring the well-being and convenience of residents and visitors alike.
