What is golden residency:

The Golden Residency programme in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a distinct classification of long-term residence visas inside the Emirates Golden Visa Card system. This programme grants individuals a residence visa in the UAE for either a five-year or ten-year duration, contingent upon the specific category they fall under.
The approval of the golden card perpetual residency system was granted by His Highness. In 2019, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, introduced a series of adjustments that encompassed several categories. Subsequently, on November 15, 2020, the Cabinet officially announced the implementation of significant modifications. The recent modifications to the golden residency programme have introduced more categories for those eligible for the ten-year golden residency status. These changes came into effect in December 2020. Furthermore, several recent choices have been made to streamline the golden residency system.

Advantages of permanent residency in the UAE:

The newly introduced changes encompass various benefits that are extended to eligible recipients, namely:
The residency status can be renewed for a period of 10 years.
The proposal to eliminate the requirement of non-absence from the country as a condition for maintaining golden residency
Terminating the recruitment of the maximum allowable number of support personnel.
A multiple entrance visa, which can be renewed for a duration of 6 months, is required for those who need to fulfil residency processes while being physically located outside of the nation.
The presence of a host or guarantor within the country is not a prerequisite.
In the circumstance of the demise of the primary visa holder possessing the golden residency, it is proposed that the family members be granted permission to continue their stay within the nation for the entirety of the residency's validity.
The issuance of residence permits for family members of a foreign national holding golden residency, which encompasses the husband and children, is a significant aspect of the immigration process.

The UAE Golden Residency Visa, similar to other categories of visas and residency in the UAE, is designed with the objective of attracting self-reliant entrepreneurs and innovative company leaders.
