The government of the United Arab Emirates issued an official statement containing the official working hours for the public and private sectors in the month of Ramadan 2024.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in the United Arab Emirates clarified the official working hours, taking into account the approved hours system and in line with the nature of the month of Ramadan, confirming that two working hours will be reduced daily for private sector employees during the month of Ramadan.
The Ministry also confirmed that companies in the UAE have the right to implement flexible or remote work patterns, and set limits on daily working hours during the month of Ramadan.
She said that public sector employees in the UAE and workers in federal government agencies, whether fasting or not, will have their work hours from 9 am to 2:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and for a period of three hours from 9 am to 12 noon on Fridays.
It is worth noting that the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai has also announced working hours during the holy month of Ramadan, taking into account the approved hours system and in line with the nature of the holy month.
The administration confirmed that customers can obtain services at the administration’s main building in the Al Jafiliya area, the Al Manara Center, the new Al Twar Center, and the rest of the external centers affiliated with the Dubai Residency located in various regions of the emirate.
As for the Amer Service Center in the Emirates, the official working hours start from nine in the morning until five in the evening, daily with the exception of Friday, which will start from 9 am - 12 noon and from 2 pm to 5 pm.
It is also mentioned that the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs is keen to sustain the provision of services and complete transactions in record times, to preserve the gains it has achieved in providing the highest standards of distinguished services.
At the end of its statement, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs congratulated on this occasion all the Emirati people and residents of the country on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
