Due to negligence and a lack of custody, the Zafra Court of First Instance in Abu Dhabi obligated a taxi driver to pay a woman Dh50,000 for her injuries in an incident that occurred while she she went to the hospital.
In the details, a woman sued a taxi driver, who requested that she be obligated to pay 100,000 dirhams in compensation, in addition to fees and expenses, stating that the defendant, as a result of his negligence and lack of security of command, had caused her injury and had been criminally convicted.

While the defendant provided a reply, he explained that the plaintiff had asked her to be brought to the hospital to make her feel sick. On the way, her voice rose, causing him to lose control. She forced him to line up by the side of the road, then screamed again, asked him to move, made some phone calls, then went to the hospital, brought in a person, and told him that he had caused the accident. Her husband replied that he was not himself but that someone else doubted that she had old injuries and asked for a technical examination of the car and an inquiry if it had technical defects or accidents, as well as the plaintiff's presentation to forensics and the examination of injuries if they were old or recent.

For its part, the Court explained in the reasoning of its judgement that, according to the decision of the Civil Transactions Act, all damage to the person, even if unmarked, was necessary to ensure the injury, noting that the statement from the papers that the fault of the defendant and his debt for the charge of causing the crash to which he was charged was the same as that on which the plaintiff based the proceedings in question, whereby the court concluded the applicant's entitlement to substantial compensation for the bodily harm and the estimated disability rate, was excluded from the elements of compensation for the loss of profits due to the plaintiff's inability to carry out its work, as the plaintiff was unable to submit a statement that she had ceased her work because of the injury, which resulted in loss of profits, and the court ruled that the defendant was obliged to pay the plaintiff the amount of Dh 50,000 in compensation for the damage of the accident, as well as the expenses and rejected other requests.
