The UAE requires residents to activate this feature to avoid delay in renewing residency
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security in the United Arab Emirates has revealed a new feature available through the UAEICP application, which is the notifications feature for your account on the application to avoid delays and fines in the event that you attribute the renewal of residency and the renewal of the passport or UAE ID.
The Authority indicated that customers, through its application, can now know the expiry dates of your official documents, and avoid a fine due to delays in renewing official documents for expatriates and residents in the UAE.
Activate the notifications feature in your account on the UAEICP application
The UAE Identity and Citizenship Authority, through its account on the X website (formerly Twitter), explained how to activate the notifications feature in your account on the UAEICP application, by following the following steps for activation:

First: Activation for Apple phone users
1- Go to the phone settings.
2- Go to the notifications list.
3- Click on choose UAEICP application.
4- Click on the button to activate notifications.

1- Go to the settings menu.
2- Click on Applications and Notifications.
3- Choose the UAEICP application.
4- Activate notifications by activating the switch.

Fine for late renewal of residence visa in the UAE
The government of the United Arab Emirates has clarified that the fees for delaying residency renewal for residents of the Emirates have been unified during the recent period, confirming that 50 Emirati dirhams will be imposed for each day of delay after the end of the grace period, according to what was announced by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Marks and Ports Security in the Emirates.
It is also worth noting that the Emirates ID card expires at the same time as the expiration of the visa for residents of the Emirates, and it must be renewed before applying for residency renewal.
