The Emirates has released a new technology to verify the legitimacy of employment contracts

Ahmed Moawad - | UAE

If you're offered a job in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), you won't be able to move forward with the employment agreement and permanent resident visa process until you have a job offer letter from the UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. Remember that a tourist visa does not give you the right to work in the UAE. Furthermore, you may be subject to penalties and legal consequences if you engage in employment after entering the country on a tourist or visit visa.

Fraud in job contracts or entry visas is a risk for foreigners who wish to travel to the UAE for work, visit, invest, or dwell. Therefore, we have provided certain guidelines a visitor from outside the UAE should follow to protect themselves from scams.

how to validate job contracts in uae

  1. An official UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation job offer, signed by an authorised manager, is required for any employment in the UAE.
  2. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation provides online enquiry services (application status) where you can verify the status of your application by entering the job offer number.
  3. The employer will provide you with an electronic entry visa for the purpose of employment once you accept the job offer and complete the appropriate paperwork. For information on how to check the legitimacy of a visa issued by one of the seven emirates, see points 8 and 9 below.
  4. You cannot legally work in the United Arab Emirates on a tourist or visitor visa. Furthermore, you may be subject to penalties and legal consequences if you engage in employment after entering the country on a tourist or visit visa.
  5. It's worth noting that the UAE Labour Law makes the employer foot the bill for any costs associated with finding and hiring new employees.
  6. Verify the company's legitimacy by looking into its legal standing. You can get the company's information by searching for its name in either English or Arabic on the National Economic Registry website.
  7. Contact the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation at 0097168027666, through email at [email protected], or through the live chat feature if you have any inquiries on UAE labour and employment contracts.
