Urgent: The Council of Ministers announces a new system of rewards and incentives
The Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said in his speech on his account on the X platform: Today we decided to approve the issuance of a federal law to regulate the weights of heavy vehicles that use state roads...which will be implemented at the beginning of next year, God willing...as heavy vehicles whose maximum total weight exceeds 65 tons will be prohibited from using state roads in order to preserve our advanced infrastructure and raise Safety levels on our roads.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid continued: We also decided today in the Cabinet meeting to establish the “Office of the Federal Regulator for the Water and Electricity Sector”... with the aim of regulating electricity and water trade between the emirates of the country and across the borders... in addition to regulating the production, transmission and distribution of electricity and water in the country... and it will be The new office is under the umbrella of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.
The Prime Minister added: Today, during the Cabinet session, we also approved a new system for rewards and incentives in the federal government. The financial and in-kind rewards and incentives will be for three categories... for the employee’s outstanding annual performance... or for exceptional achievements at the entity level... or for the national achievements he may achieve. The employee of the state... The goal is to ensure the flexibility of reward systems to enhance the spirit of competitiveness and achievement for our cadres in the federal government.
His Highness added: In continuation of our comprehensive development of our federal legislative system, we decided today within the Council of Ministers to begin issuing 11 new federal laws, such as the new law on commerce via technology means E-commerce, a new law to regulate the media, the law on assisted reproduction, and the law Regulating the space sector...and the law on the use of the human genome and other societal, economic, health and technological laws that establish the best legislative environment in the UAE and enhance social stability, economic growth and a better quality of life for all, God willing.
