According to statistics provided by OAG, a well-known international firm that specializes in airport and airline data, Emirates Airlines and Flydubai have significantly increased their operational capacity in preparation for the summer 2024 flying schedule. The combined capacity of these airlines for overseas departures in June is about 4.36 million seats.
Emirates Airlines leads with 3.16 million seats.
When compared to Flydubai's expected 1.2 million seats in June 2024, Emirates Airlines' 3.16 million seats represent a significant rise. As reports show that Flydubai's seat capacity increased by a substantial 11% from June of last year, while Emirates Airlines' seat capacity increased by a more modest 3%.
An increased seat capacity for the upcoming month of June compared to May numbers indicates a robust seasonal adjustment by both carriers.
