UAE records high Demand for 3-month visit visa

This decision has prompted a surge in applications, with agents reporting up to 20 requests daily for the extended visit visa.

The three-month visa was briefly suspended during the epidemic, which led to the introduction of a 60-day visa as a workaround. However, the UAE brought back the three-month leisure visa earlier this year after recognizing the necessity for prolonged stays.

Options and Visitors' Preferences

Firoz Maliyakkal, founder and CEO of Tahira Tours and Travel LLC, highlighted the current range of single-entry visas available: 30, 60, and 90 days. Pavan Poojari, a visa consultant at Luxury Travels, outlined the categories of visitors seeking the extended visa, including tourists seeking a more extensive vacation, families of UAE residents, and individuals exploring the possibility of settling in the country.

Many families and travel enthusiasts view a month or two as too short to fully experience and appreciate the UAE. Consequently, the reintroduction of the 90-day leisure visa has been met with enthusiasm by those desiring a more extended stay.

On the three-month visa, Matthew brought his parents and other family members to Dubai, and they were happy to have the chance to stay for such a long period of time. Another visitor with a three-month visa, Jessy, took comfort in being able to spend longer with her nephew and used the trip as a way to get over her own loss.

The Eligibility criteria

With a Dh1,000 payment, two kinds of people can apply for the three-month visa: UAE citizens who are sponsoring direct family and friends, and people who can apply with a travel agent serving as their sponsor. A visa costs between Dh1,200 and Dh1,400 in the second category and around Dh800 in the first category with a Dh1,000 refundable deposit.

The re-introduction of the 90-day visa option has proven beneficial, especially for those seeking to avoid the complexities of visa extensions through frequent exits from the country. This move aligns with the UAE's ongoing commitment to accommodating and catering to the diverse needs of its visitors.
