With the slogan "Drive with Caution and Leave a Safe Distance," the campaign underscores the significance of responsible driving practices. This initiative is a crucial part of Ras Al Khaimah Police's ongoing endeavors to enhance traffic safety and create a more secure road environment.

Safe Distance Guidelines

The campaign highlights that a safe distance between vehicles should be maintained within the range of 5 to 10 meters. Interestingly, this distance expands by an additional 5 meters for every increase in speed. Motorists are encouraged to adhere to these guidelines to ensure the safety of all road users.

Legal Implications

Ras Al Khaimah Police also reminds motorists of the legal implications. According to Ministerial Resolution No. 178 and Item No. 52 of the schedule of violations, fines, and traffic points, failure to maintain a sufficient distance between vehicles results in a fine of Dh400, coupled with the deduction of four traffic points.

Social Media Outreach

The police authority took to Twitter to spread awareness about the campaign, reaching out to motorists and the public at large. The visually engaging video shared on the platform further highlights the significance of maintaining a safe driving distance.
