The UAE government announces the categories that can apply for a green visa
The official portal of the government of the United Arab Emirates, through its official website, clarified the categories that can apply for a green visa and the conditions to be met:
1- Green residence for self-employment, where those wishing to obtain a green visa must obtain a self-employment permit from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, a bachelor’s degree or a specialized diploma or its equivalent as a minimum, and the annual income from self-employment for the previous two years should not be less than /360,000 / dirhams, or if the applicant for this residence proves his financial solvency throughout his stay in the country.
2- The green residence for the skilled worker, where those wishing to provide a work permit must be provided in the country under a valid work contract, and that the person is a skilled worker, first, second or third professional level according to the professional classification approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in addition to the following: The minimum educational level should be a bachelor's degree, or its equivalent, and the monthly salary should not be less than 15 thousand dirhams.
3- The green residency of the investor or partner in a commercial activity without a guarantor for a period of 5 years, renewable to replace the previous investor’s residency, for a period of two years, with simpler requirements and greater benefits, as the requirements include approval of the investment and proof of the value of the investment or partnership, and in the case of the foreigner in more than one license, To the total capital invested in meeting the prescribed percentage, the approval of the competent local authorities and the authorization of the applicant to practice the activity.
