Presidents of the UAE and Egypt talk on regional trends and bilateral cooperation
President of His Excellency The discussions between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan focused on bilateral ties and strategies for fostering cooperation in order to fulfil the objectives of their respective peoples for prosperity and sustainable development.
President El-Sisi commended His Highness on the UAE's accomplishment in the space area with the homecoming of astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, who had just completed the longest Arab space mission ever, during the meeting held at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. Regarding this, El-Sisi conveyed his hope that the UAE will make more advancements in a number of areas.

The two presidents also spoke on the positive prospects for extending bilateral cooperation to better serve the interests of their respective nations and peoples, as well as the UAE-Egypt relationship, notably in the fields of economics, investment, and development.
The two leaders discussed a range of topics of shared interest and shared their perspectives on national and global events. Both parties emphasised how crucial it is to support regional peace and stability while pursuing diplomatic and dialogue-based peaceful solutions to regional challenges.
The Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which the UAE will host in the near future, was also discussed at the conference. In order to secure a better future for humanity, the leaders talked on how important it is to advance collective climate action, particularly in the areas of sustainability and resource conservation, and to provide benefits to all parties involved.
As the UAE and Egypt seek to improve security and stability and promote long-term prosperity for the peoples of the region, His Highness and the Egyptian President reaffirmed their desire to boost cooperative Arab action and continue their consultations in order to address regional and global problems.
El-Sisi was met at Abu Dhabi International Airport by His Highness the President upon his arrival earlier today. His Highness went with the Egyptian President to welcome the Emirati astronauts on the airport premises, where a formal event was arranged to commemorate astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi's return to the United Arab Emirates. H.E. El-Sisi wished the UAE continued success in all spheres and praised the team for their role in Sultan Al Neyadi's accomplishment, calling it a source of pride for all Arabs.

Some of the individuals who attended the meeting included His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a Minister of the Presidential Court, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Chairman of the National Media Office; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, the Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court. The Minister of Investment, Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, and the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Finance Department, Jassem Mohammed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, were also in attendance. Major General Abbas Kamel, Head of Egyptian General Intelligence, was present from the Egyptian side.
