Abu Dhabi Municipal Centers Launch 'Our Workers, Our Care' Initiative
This initiative aims to provide relief to workers who labor under the scorching summer sun, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Under this initiative, workers are receiving essential support to cope with the intense summer heat. The municipal centers have taken proactive measures to alleviate the challenges posed by high temperatures. As part of the program, workers are being supplied with much-needed resources such as water, juices, ice cream, and sun umbrellas. The distribution of these care packages is taking place across various locations, spreading warmth and gratitude among the workforce.
The initiative is not only a gesture of kindness but also a testament to the shared commitment towards safeguarding workers' welfare. Earlier, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation unveiled a comprehensive program to establish 356 rest stations, each equipped with essential amenities, dedicated to delivery drivers across the UAE. This endeavor serves to protect delivery workers from heat-related exhaustion during the scorching summer months, particularly between 12:30 pm and 3 pm, when a ban on working under direct sunlight is enforced from June 15 to September 15.
The 'Our Workers, Our Care' initiative echoes the UAE's unwavering dedication to ensuring the safety, comfort, and dignity of all workers. By providing tangible support and resources, these municipal centers are contributing to a more humane and compassionate work environment, setting an inspiring example for others to follow.
